Honestly I prefer Windfury Totem MH with instant poison OH. I can see how this might help since I keep SnD up all the time but I don't think it would cause OH poisons to proc enough to balance out the loss of HoJ.
Venomous Totem dropped last night, every other rogue passed for him. I'm saving dkp for armor.

Uses----- PvP Use 1: Imagine Warsong Gluch poping a V.Totem with crippling. For 20 seconds your crippling poisons can be applied twice as often in the same ammount of time. Couple that with Eskhander's claw (Off-hand), Icy chill Enchantment and a sprint - You're bound to make sure the flag carrier isn't going to be going anywhere fast.
Keep in mind you're not also fighting against the flag carrier for poison cleaning, you're also fighting his/her friends with cleansing. Against any organized group they will clean and scrub their flag carrier.
PvP Use 2: For combat rogues... V.Totem + Adrenaline rush + Blade Furry. Inside any group of enemies with a healer, you'll make a good effort to kill, severely damage all in your grasp for 20 seconds. 1500 damage is a hefty extra load to deal to two (or even one) opponent.
Example Blackwing Lair fights: Vaels (Second boss) - When the warriors are within executing, pop this on to deal more damage to the dragon.
Firemaw (fourth boss) - mid-way through the fight, when coming out of the hiding corner, hit the adrenaline rush and V Totem to unleash plenty of dps on the drake. Don't forget to feint and when it's time to go back to heal and let the buff wear out, Vanish in the corner to wipe your aggro and to clear your aggro ceiling completely.
There's plenty of other uses for both PvP and PvE, just be smart what you're doing and realize that the extra damage will compete with the warrior's aggro ceiling, it's a safe bet to vanish after the trinket is on cooldown

This is IMO a pve trinket. I just got this and it's fun to play with. If you're hoping to use it in duels, I'm not sure how, since in pvp a rogue generally needs to have cripples up all the time. And I doubt you are having too much trouble landing cripples.
In PvE however it is a very good trinket. Especially in BWL on mobs that are vulnerable to nature, on which instant poisons proc for 300-400 damage. Slice and dice + daggers + this on a nature vulnerable mob is total ownage. And it's a hearty amount of burst damage on any mob that is not immune to nature damage.
It's really not bad at all, especially if you are willing to vanish and swap it out after you use it.
It's on a five minute timer. It will not cause aggro if you are managing your aggro well, espcially using vanish. Venomous Totem is underrated IMO. With SnD up and daggers on any non-resistant opponent this trinket will add 60+dps for the duration.
yeah its not like almost every mob in high-lvl pve is immune against all sorts of poisons,but nice-to-have for pvp and duels.there's better stuff out there to put in the trinket slot though.

i personally think this would make a great trinket for pve damage.. and this is how you can use it:
get 3 cp's, pop this trinket, slice and dice, blade flurry, adrenaline rush.. this is 50% increased attack speed including adrenaline rush. at the end of 20 seconds when this totem has run out, vanish and switch out this trinket with drake fang talisman.
1.) Adrenaline-Rush + 150% attackspeed + Poison-Proc on every 2nd hit will most likely draw aggro on all these aggro-sensitive BWL bosses.
2.) If you do it right at the beginning of the fight you'll miss you have Vanish on cooldown later when you should use it to reset your aggro. If you do it later you had the totem in your trinket slot all the time.
if you guys have any MC experience, would you take this item without even thinking. Slice and Dice is used very often in MC and if you applied Instant Poison and used this trinket, itll up your dps by God knows what.
I don't understand why any of you think this trinket is bad...it's kind of like the rogue version of talisman of EP (with exception of the ZG trinket). It will significantly increase your dps, though for a short amount of time. Definitely worth replacing one of your other trinkets once every five minutes for a ton of instant poison procs.
I have this trinket and find it incredibly worthless. I only use it when I'm playing around in duels but I would rather keep my 2% crit chance and insignia of the horde instead during world PvP. It's so bad that none of the rogues actually wanted to waste DKP on it.

I dw daggers and i use instant poisons tons... Personally this would be awesome, considering i crit alot so slice and dice + berzerking... nice + dps on the instants.

how bout something that is actually rogue like? you stab some one with posion theyer gonna get posioned. woop. why not something that severs the spinal chord at the base of the neck, instantly killing the target. reqires stelth. 60min cooldown.

It's pretty situtational,for example if you have to get crippling poison quickly on hunter you can use this. Yeah,nice with fast weapons+instant poison vs other melee classes.
pretty sure a rouge with a fast offhand and slice and dice can utilize this to do a good deal of additional damage over those 20 seconds.
x = weapon speed
(20/(x * .7)) * (130 * .3)
.7 is speed multiplier with s&d 130 is average damage from poisons
so a 1.3 speed dagger would do just around 900 additional damage, and the slower mainhand sword will ussually do the same (unless your dual weilding daggers, in which case it would be more)
So theoreticly 1500 to 2000 additional damage just from the poisons this thing lets you land in 20 sec. Not bad for a trinket.
