It's unique! I can only have one! What am I to do? I got a guildmate on vent to rush down to me in Winterspring from Felwood. Problem is, he didn't have the flightpath to Winterspring nor did he have timbermaw rep. Well that didn't stop him, he barged through Timbermaw Hold, mounted, and came down to me at Darkwhisper Gorge. I had been keeping the loot window open in hopes that it would prevent the body from disappearing, I guess it worked. I traded him the eye I had, and looted the second one.
Sold one of them today for 200g, got so many offers I guess I can ask for more. Gonna try for 250-300 for the other one.
I'm still farming these, 80 kills atm.
do the 59's drop it also, or only level 60 mobs?
this item is needed to get Anathema =)
I have spent hours looking for demons of a lower level, and cant find any monsters capable of soloing,
Anyone know of areas specific, that do have the lower level demons wandering??
need the damn eye...

Winterspring ones? Unlikely, they have about 18000 hitpoints and hit for around 700 through mail so maybe 300-500 through DPS plate.

as for people saying it drops fast.. well i guess it's more likely someone's going to post if it drops on the first few mobs than if it takes them 300 mobs
so according to players there's a higher drop rate from the Blasted lands demons than in winterspring, but allakhazam says otherwise
After 30-40 Hederines and no drop I decided to leave and try some other day. While killing the Hederines on our way back it dropped in the LAST ONE! That was luck!
I'm a very happy Priest now! I also have the Splinter of Nodrassil which I obtained from the Balance Of Light and Shadow quest using Spectral Essence! Just need the Eye of Divinity now and the BENIE is mine!
It took our group of 4-7 members, 4 hours to get ti to drop. In our guild the numbers seem to be reflected in the drop rate posted here.
We have some priest get the Eye in 15 minutes, while others it took many hours and some repeated trips to Darkwhisper Gorge.

first time i went out killing demons it dropped from the second one i killed, the day after another one dropped from the first demon i killed :D
I had to call in a guildy who was also farming around there because you can have only one at a time :P

btw, i got both from a Hederine Slayer in southern winterspring.

Killed one and decided it would just useless to farm these. So I killed just one more (to clear the entrance to the gorge) and this dropped.
I'm trying to sell it for 275g now, since it's in the AH for ~300g now... 3 times -.-

grinded them in WS with a priest, mage and druid. they went down fast enough, and it dropped after 15-20 mobs... :)

It doesn't do anything for any other class except allow them to see the ghost priest for the priest quest. You can get them off slayers and locks in the demon area in the southern most part of Winterspring and off Lord Kazzak in the blasted lands (need a raid party). I have not gotten mine yet, but I have spoken with many priests who have gotten it. They report it can be done with a 60 war/60 priest, 60 pally/60 priest and even a 60 druid/60 priest. Through all of these inquiries, I found the droprate varied. Some got it very quickly others spent as much as days farming. I don't know if lower levels can get it, but I don't see why not as it is able to be farmed by any class, seems weird if they put that type of limit on it.
I hope this will be mine within the month but no luck thus far.
