So this is better than the neck item from Hakkar?

Eye of Hakkar:
+1% crit
+40 attack power

Onyxia Tooth Pendant:
+1.4% crit (roughly)
+12 attack power
+1% chance to hit
+90 health
(+10 FR to boot ^^)

So which is better?

28 attack power -or-

.4% crit, 1% chance to hit, 90 health, and 10 FR

I'll take Onyxia Tooth Pendant.

14.5 = 1% dodge. forgot that in your analysis so 12 agility = ~.83% dodge as well.

in other words --

28 AP vs

.4 crit, 24 armor, .8 dodge, 90hp, 10 FR.

I'd say it really depends on your needs at the time but, overall, this is a better rogue pendant than eye of hakkar.

I have the Cenarion necklace and I hold it to be more valuable than the eye of hakkar with 12 stamina vs 16 AP difference (24 Ap, 12 stam, 1% crit) and I'd say ony would be an upgrade from mine.

Not for a Rogue you noob. I believe only hunters get 2 attack power per agility, and that will drop down to 1:1 when the new patch (Before The Storm) comes out.

depends on the situation. if i had eye of hakkar aswell as ony tooth, i would use the ony tooth for pvp and fights where i either needed to max my hit or my FR. eye of hakkar i would use in raiding/instances

I wish they would remove this post.

It's blatant advertising spam by MPS, posted on every single item with "hit" on it - regardless of if its relevant or not, and in any case for spellcasters it's completely wrong. Just FYI mr.spam.advertising.once.probably.never.come.back, getting another chance to hit does not give you more crits at all. I recommend you read the free wowwiki if you don't believe me - your subscription service apparently has the wrong info.

I'm 99.9% positive melee hit doesn't work the same as spell hit. I personally run around instance w/ 11-13% hit and on my mod called combatstats(it records all damage done, hits, misses, parries, glances, dodge, and other stuff) I've missed 17 sinister strikes out of 14k sinister strikes. I run BWL, AQ40, and newly added nax on a weekly bases. So, with this in mind where did those 17 come from? I was probley running around nude with swords on trying to get the boss to kill me after vanishing and hitting my nude button.

I would definitely use will of the martyr over this, since I go for solely attack power as a rogue. though once battlegrounds goes live I may have to reevaluate my build and stat choices. right now they're tuned for two-hit kills in hillsbrad.

I only get 12 attack power from this (and about 1.5 crit) where as I get 30 atk from will of the martyr , or 1 crit and 26 atk for mark of fordring.

sure I'd like this neck for the rare instance in which I'd equip it, (probably only during baron geddon or onyxia) but honestly it's not worth spending the dkp on.

I went from mark of fordring to this. It *is* better, this coming from an attack power whore rogue. I lose, what, 2 max damage? Without doing any calcs, I know that's less than 40 max damage to an ambush. What I gain from this? 90 HP, ~.5% crit, ~1% dodge and a very valuable 1% to hit. I always look at AP first, but when there are so many advanatages to the item over just the AP, ill go for it. Also, the 10 fire resist is always a nice bonus :P

The Eskhandar trinket could be debatable, due to the insane amount of HP, and dodge and crit given on it. Tough call between the two.

as a warrior, i would take this item hands down over the lame trinket. the trinket will make you a little bit better of a tank, but this neck will give you +1.6% crit chance, .6 dodge, 1% chance to hit, 90 HP and some FR. a huge upgrade from the emberfury talisman.
