It would be kinda nice if the set had some strength increases so shamans will do a lot more damage in PvE and PvP with their melee weapon.

When is shadow resistance useful in BWL? Tanks don't ever need shadow resistance, they just need an Onyxia scale cloak. Nice try though...?

The Earthfury helm may be better for PvE but this is one of the best if not the best current Shaman PvP helm, it is also usefull for PvE just not as good as the earthfury one. Its also better for BWL than the earthfury one because it has shadow resistance

My resto shaman friend can out heal a priest, we have a 60 warrior in a guild that has gone as far as to tell him, "I wan't to duct tape you to my back and just have you heal me"

hehe yeah i'd have to agree that statement is ignorant. i'm nearly 90% of the time top on the healing meter in our raids. Shamans are heal bots in PvE. Resto specs are required in almost all top end guilds.

That's a pretty ignorant statement. Shamans in all my raiding guilds have done more healing than all the druids. I usually hit #3 or 4 for healing done in MC, above all druids and other shamans.

Remember that hardly ever used spell you have on your Restoration Page called Chain Heal? Yeah...that's what I was thinkin more of when it said 30% beyond your first target. With this bonus, it just about makes the Chain Heal a useful spell!

If you use your healing wave, f.i. your second target which also gets healed by it gets a 30% more health healed.... and that is true for every aoe healing spell of the shami's... for every target after the first (i think the one YOU target with your aoe heal that isn't getting +30% healed... but everyone else who gets something outta the effect)

a friend of mine told me that there might be a few modified stats when BG is implemented live on all the servers for this helm, especially spell crit on it as well, can't wait to see it if that actually happens :D

I really dont see how earthfury helm is superior. This has more ac, more spirit (crucial to end-game boss fights which play a huge factor if you able to get this helm), more bonus to spell dmg (Nature is arguably better than frost, but depends partially on talents), and more bonus to resists, fire being more important in this case too.

Yes, you lose 4 stamina. 40 hp doesn't save you from Onyxia's fire attack ;)
