Swim up river until you can fish directly in the pool under Bloodvenom Falls. In the time it took me to burn off one lure (10 Min) I caught 18 Sunscale Salmon and only 12 Redgills. It's all good though since the other fish in the area (except the lightening eel) are all used for cooking or alchemy and are therefore good money fish.

Was fishing for about 50 min. in the river right next to bloodvenom post in Felwood.

Caught 100 fishes.

53 raw Redgill
14 Raw Sunscale Salmon
14 raw nightfin Snapper
10 raw mithril head trout
9 oily Black mouth.

The time was between 22.00 and 23.00
So Sunscale salmon and Nightfin Snappers dosen't seem to care much about the time of the day.

Remember to make sure you're looking at the Server time. From 12-6pm you'll never get Nightfins, and from 12-6am you'll never get Sunscales. I've noticed that the "happy medium" times of 6-12pm/am have a 50/50 drop rate of either or, but both incredibly low and you'll mostly get Redgill's anyway.

If you look on top of your screen there's a Fished From. Click on that and it gives you a listing of where the fishes are fished from.

I mostly chosen Western Plaguelands for the 50 and above quests and got my Frostsaber Cub at 55 so it eats fish and there ya go.

i seem to have had good luck with this in feralas, on the coast. also, there are schools of wreckage so that is nice. and it does seem to hold true that if u get sunscales in the day u get nightfins at night... who knew?

This fish can only be caught during daytime hours (server time) and is most plentiful between 12pm Noon and 6pm server time. Good places to find these are the Hinterlands and Winterspring.
