I'm currently playing a lvl 60 Prot Spec Tank.

I purchased this last night at ah for 5g or so and swapped it with a necklace that had a +10 Agility.

Although the +10 Defense is nice, my armor went down.

I'm a little confused on which is better for a tank: +10 Defense or +10 Agility.

Any advice is appreciated,

+10 Def is definatly better. The +10 Agi will help you Dodge and do a little +crit for Rage, but the +10 Def is like having 2 more levels of Defense. If at all possible, go for a high Def. One of our Main Tanks right now has about 425 Def with all his gear on. I know people have higher, but that makes him just about unkillable in hand to hand, its very hard to hit him. But as he has so much +def, he has had to sacrifice +damage gear. So it's a trade off. :)

+ defence will eventually make you immune to crit, although bliz buffed it, if one can aquire 575 defence they are IMMUNE to crit, at 425 they are resistant to it.

Yeah, but thats also MC loot.

This is the best tank necklace outside of high end raid drops.

I sacrificed 10str and 9agi for the +10 defense skill and couldnt be happier.
