This item is Bind in Pickup, so it cannot be purchased, as such. You will need to either join a Pickup Group (usually not ideal but some can be effective), join a guild that runs these instances regularly, or pay a guild to run you through UBRS for the drops.

Got mine with fire resistance... Awesome tank helmet ...less Armor and FR than Dark Iron but +9 defense is nice too. It at least allows you to Tank MC whilst trying to get those freaking lava and fiery cores. ><

I got this helm a while back (before the patch) while it was still green and had 600+ armour or something. So when I got the patch it changed to the superior version, but with no mods! Its just called 'Gyths Skull' with 509 armour,20 stam and the +9 def, but no res. Just wondering has anyone else had this problem? cos as far as I know Im the first tp have it 0_o

very nice helm by the way but Im still looking to upgrade it to Valor Helm :D

This helm, is very nice i got one with fire resist and i don't have to deal with idiots chargewing 200g for a dark iron helm... a little less fire resist than dark iron but in my opinion as a tank the defense makes up for it

I just got this on my paladin... It's a damm fine piece of Main Tank armor for AQ40 bosses... shame our guild Main Tank was there on his alt instead of his main >.<

Also the Fire Resistance variant with a 20FR libram on it would be well imbah as tanking gear for Molten Core / Blackwing lair... imo this is a blue item with as good as epic stats. There's a lot of epikz out there that deserve the purple name less then this helmet.

Got Frost and Fire resist already (btw i crafted my dark iron helm after the patch =\ ) and still looking for other resists while i dont have enough luck to get my damn carapace (77th run and still w/o ANY drop....).

I had "Skull of Gyth" before the patch, and when I logged on the other day it had turned into "Gyth's Skull," with less armor, 20 stam, 9 defense and no resistance. Kinda sucks, still an upgrade though I guess.

For what? Damage maybe, but neither of these helms are for damage. This is better for tanking because:

A. More stamina (only 2, but it's still more)
B. More defense (also an increase of 2)
C. More armor (31 ac, minimal increase, but more none the less)
D. A random resist. Depending on the resists, this can be an awesome addition. 15 of a resist is pretty significant and it has good tanking stats otherwise to go with it.

I'll be aiming to get this to replace my golem skull for all the reasons above.
