This dropped on my first run through BRD. I was going to de it, but it looks too awesome. Plus, the +15 FR is pretty sweet and if I take an elixir of superior defense, it makes up for my lost armor when I de-equip my plate helm. :D I probably won't use it for anything serious, but I like to wear it around SW because I look cool, and by cool, I mean totally sweet.

Just want to say, this is fine for any caster, although it's mostly a Lock item.

The life>mana conversion isn't all that great. 750 mana every 5 minutes kind of sucks. The Chief Architect's Monocle which drops in BRD from a boss I can't remember the name of, gives 10 stamina, 26 intellect and 3 spirit. As you can see, that 26 intellect is better than the Circle of Flame's 5 minute cooldown. Maybe if the cooldown was better, it'd be nice.

However, the 20 stamina on this helm makes it more for Warlocks than anyone else. Mages and priest go for spirit and intellect over stamina any day, which is why the Chielf Architect's Monocle is MUCH better for them.

But this thing looks AWESOME so any clothie should get to equally roll on it. It's kind of crappy for anyone but I got mine recently while being run through by my sister and another friend, and I'll be equipping it at 54 just for the looks.

Either way, whatever gear you have at on at level 58 will be replaced by level 60 through Outlands quests.. so I wouldn't get too worked up over this helm if it drops.

just had a 70 warr helping me trough brd, needed some xp to 54, had 57 shamy healing, i was very happy when it dropd. and i needed on it cuz my chapeau from sm cath was kinda.... old... more stam more mana, simple as that, and since casters best deffence is hp, at some point, at least mine is, i rly enjoy it. very nice

Saw this worn by a rogue today. He is in a naxxguild, I heard they farmed it for looks. Hehheh. She was a troll with 2 bonescythes and a few deathdealers. Quite surprised when I saw it.

I got this last night, very nice addition for a priest, made the moment between mob attacks much more mana friendly. cast bubble, renew and then use it. the renew more then compensates for the hp lost and the bubble protects you while channeling.

will keep it in my bag o' fire resitance I think.

The Use: ability of this helm is a channeled effect, much like mage evocation, only it hurts and doesn't give you nearly as much mana... so you have to sit there doing nothing else for 10 seconds. It's useful to stretch out your mana bar a little, but as a priest, it's probably not going to save your party in a tight spot - though it could help you avoid getting into one in the first place.

A few other interesting things...
- Yes, Fire Protection Potions will absorb the damage.
- No, you can't resist it. Or at least I never did - and it was part of my FR suit for a long time, so if it were possible, I'd think it would have happened.
- I assume you could kill yourself with this, though I never tried.
- The visual effect looks exactly like Baron Geddon's Living Bomb debuff. I was very quickly banned from wearing it during that fight.

This NOT a lock helm...repeat NOT. They can already do the mana vs life conversion already. This is a Mage, Priest, and even maybe a Druid head piece. Although some ppl may argue..."Oh, hey look! FR!!" In the end, it should only go to who it would best benefit. The order should goto Priests, then Mages...then ect. I'm a mage and I really want this head piece, but if we had a Priest in the group with us, I would gladly pass on this item. It's a respect thing. Runnign instances should be for fun, not greed.

Dropped today for me(druid), warrior and mage. Me and the mage rolled need on it, the mage rolled 96 and won..

After some hours i'm still trying to kick myself in the head.. It's a hardcore item.

This is one of the best PvP item for headslot...
Have u ever think about the ability to damage yourself to get out of sheep`?
This item give u just 75 dmg per secound and it is a periodic dmg effect
which turn your life in mana .. it so mighty i will farm until i get this
an then a pwned alle the mages..^^

today, me and my guild were farming FR gear in BRD...

wiped on the boss once cuz some adds pwned us

killed him, he DROPPED IT XDD (first kill for me)

other shaman and me (shaman) rolled on it... i got a 3... was thinking, @#%^ I WANTED IT SO BADLY... the other shaman rolled a 1 XDD

Thats what I thought, but the lock in the group outrolled me on it :(
Could really have used the extra mana in the lyceum. I think it's a bit greedy for a lock to roll on this.

i found a 60 epic'd warrior tanking with this on (yes i made sure it was this not Crown of Destruction) and he was tanking rag kick'n major tail then during BWL he had it on at one point for the fire resist then he switch to his Wrath

Throw Fiery Weapon on Soul Harvester, pull out your steed, along with this burning above your head = PIMP.

Handy for MC with that 15 Fire res. Pretty decent.

I just got this, second time in brd so I can't really vouch for the droprate. It's a nice item but isn't as epic as it should be, a slight increase to fire damage would have been appropriate but nope. Still though I wanted a change from the chapeau which was really getting old, I'm guessing the epic status is mainly earned by looking absolutely kickass and having a cooldown that is visually appealing (Whilst channeling you look like your casting a fire based evocation)(although very lacking in usefulness).

Ciccero, you can't buy this, see the text "Binds when picked up." That means you need to be there to loot it otherwise you can never have it. So I guess ebay wont be seeing any extra love.
