Hello everybody, this is my first venture into this forum.

I'm diving in to the reading world and am enlisting the help of my fellow Out of Topic forum posters.

I'd just like to invite you into the first Annual Allakhazams Book Club.

Right now, we are deciding how we are going to handle book discussions. Here is the thread concerning this issue:

https://everquest.allakhazam.com/forum.html?forum=4&mid=1075912014517159585&num=13

There isn't anything to sign up for, no mandatory meetings, etc, etc, just giving you the opportunity to give us your input on books that you like to read or would like to read.

Some time today I'll start a thread where we will decide what book to start with, but first, I wanted to extend to invitation to you all.

I would have just kept it on this forum, but we are not limiting our club to Science Fiction and Fantasy. This will probably be the most extensive collection of books ever read in one book club by the time we are done with it.

Thanks for your time and I hope to see you in the OOT Forum, Happy Reading!

I can't speak for the rest of the people here but you scare me.

Oh wait. That isn't what I wanted to say! Argh! ;)

To be perfectly serious, I can't speak for the rest of people here but I'm interested in how this turns out even if I just happen to visit this section randomly. From what I have read, there seems to be a whole lot of debate on the genre of the books in the first place. If you can provide more concrete details, it might help some things along.

If you hurry over, you can help decide what genre we start with.

We're taking suggestions in this thread:

https://everquest.allakhazam.com/forum.html?forum=4&mid=1075934098800443677&num=10

I'll hold off on picking what book we're starting with until I feel you Science Fiction and Fantasy folk have had a chance to make it over to the OOT forum to give us any thoughts and/or suggestions.

And hey, don't worry about it.

I scare myself sometimes. ;)

kooky.

And I'm always down for a good read. Just none of that romance bs please, I don't need to be reading about some dude's throbbing manhood.

Eh, not too happy with how it's turning out so far. Hopefully, some of you are normal, and will be kind enough to come over and give thoughtful and constructive thoughts on the book.

So far it's turning into another "Katie bashing" thread as many threads seem to do.

It may come as a shocker, but I'm not always about dumb kooky stuff, I seriously want to make this book club happen, and get a good system of reading and discussing going on.

Any help from you folk would be much appreciated, don't let my avatars and sig's fool you, I'm just trying to show that you can be serious and have fun at the same time.

So, once again, I extend my invitation to you fellow book readers to come on over and read Eragon with us, so far I think it's a great book.
